Project/Automation Engineer

This position is accountable for the design, integration, and fabrication of manufacturing automation as well as the maintaining, setting up and calibration of assembly fixtures and testing equipment. Candidate must be able to interact with team members and customers to help aid requests for production demand and a customer service mindset is essential for this role.

 

Responsibilities              

 

Must be able to repair manufacturing technology that uses electronics, robotics, hydraulics and/or electric systems for relay and solid state machinery that involves PLC's
Identify automation capital projects, complete business justification and manage facility automation projects from design, procurement, integration, run off through full production implementation including required ISO manufacturing documentation
Troubleshoot / Maintain / Repair / Setup assembly equipment
Read and work from electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic blueprints, schematics and Bills of Materials as needed
Must be able to work under minimum supervision and balance production support demands against capital project needs on a daily basis

 

Requirements

 

High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
3-5 years of progressive experience as an Automation Technician
Must have previous Injection Molding industry experience
Previous knowledge and understanding of Electrical and Mechanical systems
