Block Plant Operator

 Our client is currently seeking a Block Plant Operator to manage their facility in Fairbanks Alaska. Do you have experience with operating a Besser V3-12 and working in a block plant manufacturing environment? Block Plant Operator will be responsible for
:

  • Knowing how to operate a Besser V3-12 block machine (must have 5 years' experience operating machinery training not provided.)
  • Supervising daily operations of the plant and monitoring production goals product season April through October.
  • Perform daily safety checks throughout the plant  
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
  • Emphasize production to meet customer demands and yard inventory level
  • Reading material layouts and be able to interpret specifications
  • Check product for quality and perform all mold changes and maintenance  
  • Handle delivery logistics for inbound and outbound freight

Job Requirements

  • MUST have FIVE(5) years block plant manufacturing experience
  • Must be able to trouble shoot, repair broken machines. Fabrication experience a plus.
  • Must have experience with manufacturing equipment (paver machines, loaders/ mixers, pallet scrappers, lifts etc.)
  • Must be able to lead and supervisor a team of 6-10,
  •  Must showcase customer service skills and the ability to interact with clients on product orders and be able to resolve quality issues


Required Education:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Associate degree with an emphasis in construction/manufacturing or similar certifications or training in the manufacturing field.

Full benefits package, 401K profit sharing great school districts in North Star Boral area. Pay range from $30-$34 depending on experience. Overtime available during peak production season.
