Our client is a world leader in their industry of building and construction markets and is an open-minded company that offers a long term opportunities.  They are in search of an Automation/Robotics Project Engineer in their Stephenville, Texas facilities.  The Automation/Robotics Project Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support to attain manufacturing process improvements, develop new pro­cesses, machinery, or equipment, and assist in guiding projects to suc­cess­ful imple­menta­tion.   • Design, evalu­ate, speci­fy, and recommend/acquire new equip­ment, machinery, and plant layouts to attain cost/waste reduc­tion, quality, and production modern­iza­tion goals.
  • Develop cost/benefit analyses, request for proposals (RFP), machine specifications, acceptance tests, capital appropriation requests, project plans and schedules.
  • Develop, as needed, all necessary drawings and parts to expedite the acquisition/assembly, and implementation of new or modified equipment/machinery. 
  • Analyze operational problems and develop/implement acceptable solutions, from an n engineering stand­point, to existing or new processes.
  • Assist in implementing new or modified equipment or process­es, including installation, start-up, and debugging activi­ties.
  • Conduct other projects as assigned.


  • B.S. in a core engineering field.  Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • The incumbent must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a thor­ough under­stand­ing of mechanical properties, with proficiency in mechanical design and theory and knowledge of electrical control systems. 
  • Experience with automation and/or robotics is required.  Selection, integration, and runoff experience needed
  • The incumbent must have skills in mechanical design using AutoCAD and project management and leadership skills.
  • The ability to influence others who don't report to the position to help with the project is very desirable.
  • Possess a working knowledge of computer software.
  • Occasional travel as necessary.
