Job Requirements

Responsibilities –

  • Performing periodic GMP/food safety related audits in internal manufacturing and distribution facilities, supplier audits in a variety of food processing/packaging environments, label compliance audits, and maintenance- food safety related performance audits.
  • Assisting in the development and maintain the Supplier Quality Program.
  • Developing a Supplier Risk Based Auditing Schedule.              
  • Ensuring timeliness, consistency, and accuracy in all audits and audit reports.
  • Assisting in the investigation of potential compliance issues.
  • Partnering with other departments to develop effective audit CAPA's.
  • Partnering with suppliers to develop effective supplier audit CAPA's.
  • Providing follow-up on close out of Audit Corrective Actions.
  • Developing and maintaining auditing database.
  • Developing and maintaining label compliance database.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a quality assurance role within a food manufacturing facility and broad knowledge/experience of various food-beverage processing operations.
  • Knowledge of dairy, beverage, and/or cheese industries is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge in GMP s, food safety practices and management systems, HAACP, QMS, GFSI, and relevant government regulations is required.
  • Direct experience performing third party audits (GMP, HACCP, GFSI).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers,
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible within a changing work environment.

Base Pay $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 /Year
