Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager position is a highly visible and responsible role.  This position is of great significance within the company and is responsible for the entire upkeep and maintenance of a facility. This position is also responsible for executing their administrative and organizational skills; for ensuring that all maintenance activities are seamlessly completed; and, is accountable to uphold the quality and standards of the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Guide and direct salaried and hourly maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure attainment of production goals.
  • Works within approved budget; develops and implements cost saving measures; contributes to profits and revenue; conserves organizational resources.
  • Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts.
  • Manage and improve the PM program.
  • Develop Predictive Maintenance program
  • Plan and manage capital installation and upgrade programs.
  • Coordinate time line for repair parts needs with Materials Department.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Oversee development and training of Junior Maintenance Technicians.
  • Support Safety and Environmental programs, Have a firm grasp on all OSHA requirements, especially Hazmat and Hazcom.
    • Lead and support continuous improvement activities.
    • Serve as a fully participating member of the Plant Leadership Team.
    • And, any additional duties that may be assigned by Management.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • B.S. degree required
  • At least 5 years maintenance leadership experience
  • Experience within the following areas: foundry, finishing, machining equipment and associated infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of PLC and computer control systems, CNC machining systems, hydraulic systems, motor controls, and industrial power systems
  • Ability to read prints and schematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and problems.
  • Ability to deal comfortably with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to provide leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with lean principles is desirable.
