The role of the Maintenance Mechanic is to maintain mechanical systems, some electrical systems, and install new equipment, all without supervision in order to improve reliability, productivity, quality, and safety

Job Requirements


  • The Maintenance Mechanic ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and Hydraulic systems.
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • PLC troubleshooting and minor ladder logic changes.
  • Works with vendors, consultants, and engineers to troubleshoot and repair electrical and control related issues.
  • The Maintenance Mechanic Communicates with operators to assist with solutions or repair of equipment.



  • Multi-craft experience; Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic.
  •  At least 5 years of experience in an manufacturing environment
  •  Problem solver and team oriented.
  • PLC troubleshooting and minor ladder logic changes experience is a plus
  • Able to work with people, strong work ethic, must be capable of multi-tasking in a fast paced environment, strong communication skills.
  • High school/GED or Trade school in machines
  • Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and converting fractions into decimals. Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer, dial bore gauge, and various other precision measurement equipment.
