Quality Engineer

Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry.  They are looking for a Quality engineer to join their team in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. The right candidate has the potential to work into a Quality Manager role. This individual will lead around 20 employees, manage multiple priorities, as well as follow company strategy and vision such as continuous improvement, innovation, and integrity.  

 

Job duties include:

  • Administer the Quality process consistent with customer specifications
  • Communicate with customers  assess their evaluation of product and to maintain satisfactory relationships
  • Participate in plant cost reduction/improvement program
  • Record keeping in order to document and sustain the quality management system and scrap program
  • Participate in plant continuous quality improvement activities
  • Maintain TS 16949 Certification
  • Assist in all phases of inspection
  • Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities
  • Communicate significant issues or developments
  •  Provide recommended process improvements to upper management
  • Lead and maintain the Corrective Action Report (CAR) process
  • Review, update, process FMEA/Control Plans and process flow charts
  • Follow established safety policies, procedures and practices
  • Support company efforts toward continuous improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • TS 16949 certified
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisor role
