JOB QUALIFICATIONS & DUTIES

  • General management/supervisory, leadership, mentoring experience, required
  • 5+ years prior experience in food processing quality assurance
  • BRC or FSMA & HAACP experience, preferred
  • Displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgement.  Supports & explains reasoning for decisions.  Includes appropriate people in decision making process.  Makes timely decisions.
  • Military background is a plus!
  • Bachelor degree in Food Science or related field, required
  • Experience working and connecting with all levels of an organization, from CEO to on the floor team members.
  • Must be organized, ability to take on a high volume of work.
  • A person who is flexible with their time/schedule, capable of growth and changes within their role.
  • Self-starter, visionary in their role and in their career.
  • Performing periodic GMP/food safety related audits.
  • Maintain USDA noncompliance records
  • Responsible for internal R&D testing
  • Developing a supplier risk based auditing schedule.
  • Ensuring timeliness, consistency, and accuracy in all audits and audit reports
  • Assisting in the investigation of potential compliance issues.
  • Providing follow-up on close out of Audit Corrective Actions.
  • Developing and maintaining label compliance database.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of EEO policy.
  • Treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity & ethics, and upholds organizational values.
  • Understands organization's strength's & weaknesses, identifies external threats & opportunities.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
