CMM Programmer
Prepare CMM programs as required per customer specifications. Evaluate the quality (dimensional and visual attributes) of product throughout the manufacturing process and prior to shipment to customers. This evaluation requires the use of the CMM and other measuring equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program, run, and maintain the CMM and process appropriate paperwork
- Monitor the manufacturing process through product and process audits
- Inspect and approve first pieces in both casting and machining – this includes a complete layout each time a machining center is setup for production, and filing appropriate paperwork
- Perform internal ISO audits and support resolutions to correct findings
- Participate in APQP/FMEA processes
- Gauge R&R studies
- Perform capability studies
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Working knowledge of a CMM with three (3) to five (5) years of related experience
- Must be able to operate CMM and interpret CMM reports
- Thorough knowledge of GD&T
- Proficient with PC-DMIS software
- Previous experience with portable 3D scanning equipment and CMM equipment
- Excellent analytical and mechanical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, at all levels within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, working in a fast pace and ever-changing environment
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
