Commercial Roofing Service Manager

Responsibilities of the Roofing Service Manager include:
- Hire, train, and retain service technician personnel as required to meet Company backlog and service requirements
- Train field service personnel to perform work safely with a high degree of quality and customer satisfaction
- Schedule service crews for projects based upon customer needs and service crew capabilities
- Meet with customer contacts to ensure that all service personnel are performing work according to customer requirements and objectives
- Meet with service crew personnel at project sites to review project specifications, requirements and ensure customer satisfaction
- Generate estimates for service repair, refurbishment, and safety equipment installations
- Generate purchase orders for materials and equipment for service projects requiring specific materials and equipment
- Manage the budgets of service projects including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Work in tandem with the Service Administrator to manage the overall Service Department goals and budget
- Generate and deliver reports as required
- Attend and report at the Daily Production meeting with the other Roofing operations team members
- Work closely with the Service Account Manager to develop and follow up on leads and generate new customers
- Deliver production project close-out packages, including roof system warranties, to introduce the service team tocustomers
Skills/Qualifications of the Roofing Service Manager include:
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in commercial roofing service capacity, preferably as a Service Manager
- Experience and knowledge of all single-ply, modified bitumen, BUR, metal roof systems
- Excellent written & oral communication, including listening
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to be a team player and work in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to adapt to change and unforeseen issues, while maintaining professionalism
