ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Can recognize future opportunities or additional work. Brings this information to supervisor or salesperson’s attention. Maintains a professional, courteous, and helpful disposition when communicating with a customer, general contractor or another subcontractor
• Possesses knowledge of other services offered and able to explain them
• Serves as a key point of contact for current and future customers with an ability to articulate opportunities for growth or optimization
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

• Install, Troubleshoot, Maintain and Repair the following devices and systems
o Fieldbus devices and systems
o Sensors
o Relay Logic
o Instrumentation and Process Controls
o AC and DC motors, controls, and drives
o Motion Control systems
o Safety systems
• Identify, specify and order parts for new installation or replacement
• Perform system modifications and construction based on NFPA 79, UL508A, and NEC codes
• Read, interpret, and create schematics, understand documentation principles at an advanced level
• Work independently to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment
• Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation or system modification procedures
• Consult with customers, supervisors, or engineers to plan the layout of industrial equipment, devices, or to resolve problems in system operation or maintenance
• Apply the principles of advanced AC and DC circuits and the components used in these circuits
• Perform programming, basic design, and troubleshooting of the following devices and systems
o PLC’s
o HMI’s
o VFD’s
o Motion Control Systems
o Safety Systems
o Instrumentation and Process Controls
• Ability to use multiple software platforms at a level to perform online troubleshooting, system modifications, and commissioning of manufacturing systems and components
• Maintains truck stock inventory level through weekly request forms turned in to supervisor.
• Reports need for lifts, delivery / pick-up based on weekly schedule to supervisor
• Assists in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality and standard operating procedures
• Lead in the development, maintenance, organization, and improvement of the panel shop

• Take steps to ensure customer satisfaction, if not should be able to search out issue and convey to supervisor
• Recognizes customer’s need is most important
• Understands and performs according to estimated labor hours
• Can establish a weekly schedule for self and other technicians
• Knows phase codes for job and actively seeks feedback of actual performance compared to estimate
• Builds and orders bill of materials as needed
• Actively engages in and recommends ideas to improve project and department productivity

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
• Always adheres to all safety policies and practices. Wears steel toed shoes, hardhat, gloves, and safety glasses on all job sites
• Leads toolbox talks and completes Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms as directed
• Understand and complete site-specific safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) if applicable
• Completed OSHA 10, NFPA70E, CRP and First Aid Training
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Understands the functionality of Computer systems and network devices
• Understands the mechanical functionality of equipment
• Demonstrate the ability to understand and apply NFPA70E to the equipment being worked on and the work environment
• Understands the UL509, NFPA 79 and apply these standards to the work being performed
• Can troubleshoot, install, maintain, repair, program, and specify for new installation or replacement of AC and DC drives
• Demonstrates the ability to understand the functionality of servo drives
• Can troubleshoot, install, maintain, repair, program, and specify for new installation or replacement of servo drives
• Can troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair relays and relay logic
• Understand advanced automation techniques
• Can troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot processes and systems
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Industrial Maintenance Certificate or an Associate Degree in the Electromechanical Technology or Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Technology programs or 7 years of experience in electrical maintenance position; or equivalent combination of education and experience in industrial controls
• State journeyman’s or master license, desirable.
• This position may require employees to drive a company vehicle. If so, employees must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record that allows the company to insure such individual under the company’s insurance policies. Employee must also carry auto liability insurance. Employee will be subject to the Company’s policy concerning company vehicles.
