Estimating Manager (Millwork)

PointOne Recruiting is actively seeking a Estimating Manager for our AWI certified architectural millwork client located in Newtown, PA. If you have a construction background, ideally in architectural millwork/casework/cabinetry OR interior architectural metal fabricator OR steel panels this could be an opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and maintains bid invite tracking
- Reviews and maintains department bid schedule
- Maintains department HR schedule
- Maintains and improves department file storage and organization
- Review process of printing drawings, specifications, RFIs, Bid Documents and adjusts departmental approach if necessary
- Reviews bid process and updates approach as needed
- Stays current with departmental software updates and potential new avenues for more streamlined processes
- Maintains and expands relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Maintains and expands relationships with General Contractors
- Identifies new markets and contacts for work
- Maintains library information for material costing
- Maintains library information for construction approaches and techniques
- Adjust individual project pricing as necessary
- Update, maintain and analyze bid results for trends and areas of opportunity
- Maintains and improves departmental approach to information storage and sharing
- Improves departmental processes
- Maintains departmental employee statuses, reviews and growth
The ideal candidate will:
- Excel in Office Suite
- Excel in Adobe
- Excel in use of BlueBeam
- Excel in use of Project PAK
- Excel in all aspects of file managing, take off, pricing of projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, documents and specifications
- Maintain material costing in estimating library current to market pricing and backed up by real time purchase pricing from Epicor
- Ability to identify manufacturing techniques with shop, post production, to update and maintain library assemblies
- Able to pass AWS test yearly.
- Ability to create, implement and maintain AWS training for departmental employees
- Ability to keep entire department on time with bidding
- Ability to identify and adjust fail/success rate information on department and individual estimators
- Ability to expand relationships with vendors/subs/suppliers to garner best and more timely pricing
- Ability to keep up to date with company tax needs and applies them appropriately to bid projects
- Reviews delivery costs and maintains company approach to pricing delivery charges
- Excels in the maintenance of relationships with General Contractors
- Reviews project status feed back and project notes
- Addresses HR and employee needs for departmental personnel
- Ability to interface successfully with all levels of employees, customers and vendors
Compensation
- Base salary up to $115,000 plus health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, 401K and relocation assistance.
