Foundry Manager
Organize, plan, and manage all capital resources, human resources, and operations within the Foundry Department including the following primary and secondary operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, correct and improve department Efficiency/Utilization/Productivity metrics daily
- Monitor and enforce foundry specific personal protective equipment
- Schedule capital and human resources efficiently and effectively to meet customer orders
- Monitor and adjust staffing requirements as needed with Human Resources Department
- Address and correct opportunities identified through the employee safety suggestion system
- Develop, coach, and hold staff accountable to performance and company policies as required
- Direct department Supervision and Leads as necessary
- Complete Process Change Requests as needed for process changes
- Monitor and maintain department employee training
- Conduct weekly department Toolbox meetings
- Layered Process Audits
- Safety Audits
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years management experience in a manufacturing environment (foundry preferred)
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements with minimal interruption of normal workflow
- Excellent time management skills, problem solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret manufacturing documents such as prints, instruction manuals, process sheets, work instructions, and safety documents
