Knowledge and Skills Required

Understanding of electronic drives and controls, and pneumatics.

Understanding of welding and fabrication, both small gage and mid-welder.

Understanding of construction methods, materials and techniques (plumbing, masonry, etc).

Good understanding of 60th Street assets and how they function.

Basic understanding of IR assets and how they function.


Language & Teamwork Required

Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, manuals, machine schematics, etc.

Good communication (written and verbal) skills dealing with issues in a positive, complete manner.

Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.  Demonstrated capability to function within a cross functional team.

Good communication and coaching skills with the capability to deal with issues in a positive but complete manner.


Education and Experience Required

Minimum of five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional relevant training preferred, particularly mechanical training.

Prior experience working in the printing, paper production or paper converting industries is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Position requires constant walking or standing.

Must be able to climb ladders.

Frequent bending, kneeling or entry into enclosed spaces.

Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 30 ft. as there may be occasions when individual will need to work on building roofs or at heights inside facilities.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
