BIM Manager

The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager will lead in developing both 2D and 3D coordinated shop drawings, as built drawings and project drawings for design/build projects. This person will ensure the team is completing their assigned tasks in a timely manner, which includes meeting quality and safety standards, and responding to project needs from the field operations and project management teams.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leads by coaching and developing the BIM team.

Ensures timely completion of assigned projects and with complete customer satisfaction.

Plans and analyzes assigned projects, establishes schedules and project parameters, and sets procedures to accomplish system objectives.

Utilizes and adopts proper technology to increase team proficiency.

Reviews design changes to identify design and installation impacts. Reacts in a timely manner to report scope impact.

Supports the sales, estimating, and project management functions through the development of coordinated ductwork, plumbing and piping drawings.

Maintains as-built record drawings throughout the progress of a project through coordination with field personnel and project managers.

Provides quality review for mechanical CAD drafting work performed by others, internally and/or externally.

Informs senior management of any issue or concern prior to the issue putting the company at risk.

Works hand-in-hand with the field labor management and project management teams.



Associates degree in Drafting and Design Technology or equivalent certificate, plus five (5) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Advanced user of the REVIT, AutoCad, Navisworks as well as experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office products.

Familiarity of HVAC and plumbing, and materials and construction methods used for various applications.

Understanding of isometric and schematic drawings; ability to interpret engineering, architectural, and construction plans, drawings and specifications, and knowledge of building and mechanical codes is required.
