Environment

Our company is a Level 3 GFSI Certified Supplier of custom hand trimmed meats, processing over 50 million pounds of meat per year

 

Responsibilities

Directs meat plant level support functions including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources to ensure alignment with overall plant operations.

Directs, manages, and optimizes the overall operations of the plant.

Sets policies and makes decisions guiding productivity, quality, and cost efficiency of plant operations.

Establish systems to collect metrics, analyze productivity and set performance targets that will meet revenue and cost goals.

Leads the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Ensures robust plant safety and security procedures and training are in place and that operations are in compliance with all required regulations.

Leads any labor relations activities involving the plant.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.  Reports to top management. Manages the day to day operations of the entire facility. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the facility and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.

Requires at LEAST 3 years of managerial experience in a meat plant food processing facility.

Extensive knowledge of the meat processing regulatory environment is required (SQF, FDA, HACCP, USDA, etc).
