General Manager

Job Location: 
Charlotte, NC

The ideal candidate needs to have proven experience developing and managing business operations, specifically in commercial roofing. This person is responsible for growing and managing the overall office operations, as well as ensuring the branch revenue goals are being met. They will have a direct role in sales, project management, hiring, estimating, subcontract management, scheduling, and employee management.

 

Responsibilities:

Meets or exceeds branch revenue goals while maintaining desired profit margins.

Communicates with Human Resources on staffing needs.

Tends to branch operational needs.

Acts as project manager when the job requires.

Acts as interim Service Manager until the work load justifies bringing on full-time individual.

Keeps open communication methods with home office and direct report.

Builds and maintains positive brand experience in the region.

Periodically meet with management to review progress and identify areas of opportunity.

Periodically conducts performance reviews with employees at branch.

Proactively works with executive team on improving and streamlining processes and workflows.

Quickly builds credibility with both employees and customers.

 

Requirements:

Roofing or construction experience

5+ years in management

Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment

Excellent presentation, communication, writing, and listening skills

Superior time management

Bachelors degree

Willingness to travel
