We are seeking a General Manager for our client, a well-known and respected Omaha NE business specializing in niche custom further processing, primarily for cooked beef operations! Committed to providing safety food, they are a GFSI certified plant and level 3 SQF certified.  Our client proudly represents integrity, collaboration and the highest degree of food and employee safety.  This is a great opportunity for someone who has demonstrated operations success and would like to oversee a single plant and a work life balance. 

 

Core responsibilities include:

60% - Overseeing management staff (purchasing, quality, IT, HR, production manager and maintenance manager) and sales team, monitoring yields of production. Represent legacy of values.

25% - Overseeing Safety, maintenance/& QA team/SQF-HACCP compliance and audits

10% - Monitoring costs, working with vendors and building relationships.  Facility upkeep.

5% - Developing succession plan for upcoming retiree’s.

         

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

Ideally food production or processing industry experience, leading a team of up to 100.

A clear communicator who deliver expectations and goals that are attainable.

Previous experience in plant/operations management or previous GM.

People management/mentoring experience (is a hands on leader, motivates, positive)

Experience with SQF/HACCP

Demonstrates good judgement, reputations for making the right decisions

Can think outside the box, is solutions oriented.
