Description

The Mechanical / Project Engineer will work with Sales to understand customer needs and requirements, and the development of proposals. Will be responsible for the design and all activities required to manage the project from order entry to delivery. Position requires knowledge / experience in 3D and 2D modeling (Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD), including basic drafting skills. Project Engineer techniques that achieve results and the ability to perform engineering calculations, are also required.

 

Must be able to:

Perform Engineering for all mechanical equipment on assigned projects, including project level and detailed Design Engineering

Possess a strong understanding of Hydraulic Design Principles of Mechanical Engineering and the understanding of structural and electrical relationships

Use experience with Hydraulic Power Units and Systems, read/ hydraulic schematics, implement corrective actions, and possess a solid understanding of the theories and good practices

Provide detailed designs of systems and installations

Participate in Functional System Performance Testing

Carry responsibility for completion of project tasks in a quality manner, within budget, and on schedule

Carry responsibility for input or creation of related project schedules, drawing lists, bill of materials, and callouts

Review and approve vendor documentation for all sourced components and assemblies

Provide project direction for a multidisciplinary team

Provide troubleshooting expertise for clients and vendors, including installation assistance at job sites

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required

MUST have strong HYDRAULIC design knowledge/experience

Minimum of 3+ years of experience as an Engineer in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of AutoCAD drafting, Inventor Solid Modeling, and Finite Element Analysis software

Written communication skills

Problem analysis and resolution skills

Strong leadership skills
