Job Description Summary

The qualified candidate will support all maintenance work orders by analyzing basic job steps, determining their relative sequence, and identifying parts, materials, special tools, safety requirements, and skills required for each step.

 

Job Description

Obtain blueprints, drawings, instructional manuals and special procedures, as needed, to clarify the intent of work orders.

Create work orders for approved requests.

Distribute daily maintenance work and maintain an appropriate backlog of effectively planned work ready for scheduling based on plant priorities.

Manage inventory of spare parts supplies and materials required for effective maintenance and improvement of the facility and equipment.

Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability and maintenance department performance.

Support all Predictive, Preventive, and Condition Based Maintenance, in conjunction with the production schedules and resource availability.

Participate in supporting, planning / scheduling meetings with plant team to determine short- and long-term priorities. Schedule maintenance activities to ensure the priorities are satisfied.

Partners with purchasing clerk to ensure the timely delivery of parts and equipment.

Ensure safety needs are given a top priority in work planning.

Identify the sequence of steps required to fulfill each work order, the number of mechanics and required labor hours for each step. List special tools and/or equipment needed.

All other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills and Education

MUST have at least 3 years of maintenance management experience

MUST have at least 1 year of experience with some version of CMMS software.

MUST be proficient in Microsoft Office software programs.

Ability to prioritize and organize work based on changing and challenging deadlines.

Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on excellent customer service.

Communicate effectively with associates, staff and senior management.

Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.

Ability to diagnose situations and make good judgments in a timely manner
