Maintenance Technician

Job Location: 
St. Paul, MN

The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance, teardown, rebuild and repair work on all equipment in the facility to support production needs. Research-Substitute Electrical components for continuous improvements. Manage continuous improvement projects to completion.

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Repair and maintain all hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems.

Repair gas fired and electrical furnaces.

Repair pumps and compressors.

Repair of water cooling system and plant air system.

Repair/Rebuild all parts of a Die Cast Machines.

Obtain complete set of tools per tool list supplies.

Complete Lock/Out Tag/Out training.

Complete Forklift training and operate forklift in safe manner.

Capable and willing to work overtime.

Work in a safe manner, not to endanger self or co-workers. Report unsafe conditions.

Participate in training programs deemed necessary by the company.

Keep up with changing technology.

Provide a clean and organized work environment through 5-S controls Install, Program, & Standardize PLC programs for Die-cast & Machining Testing may be required.

 

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, Maintenance Journeyman forklift certification required.

Must have a complete understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, PLC’s electrical and electronic systems.

Able to follow NEC Electrical Code and understanding of AC or DC voltage.

Ability to arc and MIG weld as required

Prior experience in Die-cast/Machining Maintenance Troubleshooting preferred

Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
