Plant Manager

Our client is looking for a Plant Manager who has a passion and proven track record of developing successful teams.  This manager is both a tactical and strategic leader who leads continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives throughout the organization.  Come develop a culture of excellence.



Plant manager is responsible for ensuring local, state, and federal standards are met in safety, product quality, environmental health and safety compliance, and operational performance.
Developing and controlling the budget for plant operations
Lead and train employees to achieve goals set by company
Plan and coordinate activities of plant with department managers to ensure set manufacturing objectives are met and done so in a time and cost-effective fashion
Set clear, attainable, and measurable goals and expectations for each person on the project.
Be engaged in the risk management program as much as possible
Create a strategic plan and utilize communication to carry out the vision for the facility
Supervise plant performance for quality, BRC, HACCP, and production standards
Work to curb labor overtime, freight expenses, cost of repairs.
Apply advantageous systems to control operating expenses, capital, labor costs including wages and salaries, to keep in line with guidelines provided by corporate
Oversee facilities and encompassed equipment, see to updates and repairs as needed
Ensure all employees are properly trained and that jobs are being completed successfully
Build and maintain a continuous improvement culture in the facility.
Keep the entire plant organized and clean, specifically the production floor
All other duties as assigned



Bachelor’s degree in related field OR 5 years’ experience in management within a food manufacturing/production setting 
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Background in development, leadership, and continuous improvement implementation.
Experience in performance management along with hiring, overseeing, and terminating employees
Knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal regulations regarding food production facilities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Multitasking ability pertaining to being able to balance and attain desired results
Must be flexible with schedule and willing to work extra hours when needed
