We are seeking Production Supervisors for our Chicago bakery industry client for 1st, 2nd & 3rd shifts.  Increased business is driving the need for more job openings!

 

If you are enthusiastic, have a demonstrated work history in a production supervisory role within food manufacturing, at least 3 to 5 years experience we want to talk with you!  The Production Supervisor leads and coordinates daily shift operations to assure the manufacture of products is consistent with quality, quantity, safety & cost requirements.  Supervisors plan and assign work, enforce policies and procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

 

Responsibilities include:

Direct hourly employees in all aspects of the production & packaging process

Monitor the lines for yield improvement and measure productivity

Comply with the terms of the company's policies, state and federal law.

Train, develop and evaluate employees

Maintain department records

 

Job requirements include:

Bachelors of Science degree preferred

Must be available to work any assigned shift. Weekend and holiday overtime as required.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures and understanding of basic baking & packaging technology

Strong troubleshooting skills, with a drive to reduce/eliminate waste.  Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on mentality

Leadership interest and ability to work effectively with others, motivate others
