General Summary: Effectively manage the quality function, including in-process, final, and layout inspection.  Oversee all departmental activities to achieve cost, productivity, safety, and quality objectives.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Managed and maintained the Quality Management system.

Directed and coached a team in the quality department which consisted of engineers, technicians and auditors.

Developed all quality processes and procedures.

Supported safety compliance and objectives for the company.

Analyzed data and provided daily communications to staff and suppliers of any quality issues and concerns.

Developed and conducted required quality training to all production employees.

Guide and facilitated quality cross-functional problem-solving teams.

Assisted sales with implementing customer specific requirements and audits.

Represented the company in building relationships and collaborating with customers to achieve the optimum customer resolution.

Provide strategic support to management, engineering and operations on regulatory and business issues.

Developed and maintained PPAP and control plans as a requirement of the customer.

Conducted internal audits for compliance.

 

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a Quality Supervisor or Manager capacity

Previous experience within the Automotive industry (TS 16949/IATF 16949)

Previous Machining or Casting experience

Hand’s-on, ability to work on the floor and be engaged with employees
