Sales Account Manager

Job Location: 
Oxnard, CA

The Sales Engineer/Sales Account Manager (SE/SAM) is responsible for all efforts to meet or exceed company bookings forecast and goals.  In addition to traditional sales calls, this will include coordination between the customer and the departmental disciplines.  The SE/SAM must develop a keen situational to assist in maintaining existing base business while contributing to the growth of the business through new opportunities.



Must be able to understand technical requirements of customer and communicate these requirements as well as any other applicable industry requirements to the SAI product teams.          

Maintain customer/account list and customer/account files

Maintain contact with existing customers to keep abreast of existing orders in case customer requires assistance with delivery problems, pricing problems, technical support and to find out about new programs and contacts.

Work independently and or with business unit managers/director of sales to ensure on-time submittals of all new business proposals, including coordination with the engineering, operations, and sales teams for all technical and commercial activities related to NewBiz pursuits.

Track all business opportunities in accordance other databases.

Follow up with customers for open action items to ensure NewBiz wins.

Weekly update to SAI senior management.

Other Duties as assigned by Director of Sales



Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, and/or Aviation related field

3+ years of experience in technical sales

Experience finding new business with existing or new customers

Experience in custom part manufacturing, distribution, and/or overhaul

Understanding of fundamental business and accounting

Effective communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

Great customer service

AS400 MAPICS experience is a plus
