Shipping Supervisor

We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Shipping Supervisor for a custom cabinetry manufacture, located in southern California.  Experience in shipping within the construction industry is extremely helpful, someone working with 3PL’s is also helpful for this person to be successful.

The shipping supervisor position coordinates activities of workers responsible for picking product and preparing it for same day shipping.



Assist manager by identifying work procedures; prepare work schedules and expedite workflow.

Issue written and oral instructions.

Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.

Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.

Ensure correct shipment of orders.

Share the cultural concepts of situational leadership and facilitate the application of the transition to situational leadership.

Monitor pickers’ and packers’ productivity.

Assist employees with work process problems.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving parts and lifting up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30p.m.

Preferred Education and Experience

5 or more years of experience supervising a staff of 10 or more employees in a shipping/logistics area.
