Supply Chain Planning Manager - Food Manufacturing

We are seeking a production planning professional with demonstrated approach to planning, can develop & execute inventory replenishment strategies and can be the point supply chain person for co-man and co-pac's. Familiarity working with food production, proficient with Excel, and be comfortable in finance is required. This person can be junior to mid management experienced with a desire to continue their professional development in supply chain.


Duties & Responsibilities:

The Supply Planning Manager role is primarily responsible for planning finished goods production to deliver against customer service level targets.  This includes continuous oversight and optimization of inventory across the network. 

Develop and implement a finished goods supply plan based on the latest demand plan.

Develop and execute inventory replenishment strategies that consider co-man and co-pack capabilities, capacity constraints, & costs while ensuring an uninterrupted supply of product to customers to meet customer service targets.

Be the key supply chain contact point for co-manufacturing / co-packing relationships to ensure delivery of the supply plan and for resolution of any issues.

Partner with internal team and Co-manufacturing network to ensure effective material requirement planning (raws and pack) resulting from the supply plan output, to ensure the supply plan execution.

Support Finance on monthly Cost of Goods tracking, as well as validation of finished product and raw/pack component inventories which impact working capital management and financial reporting.

Leads the evolution of supply planning and supply management by identifying and implementing improvements to supply planning processes.

Create and implement standardized supply chain processes and KPIs to track internal metrics and external co-manufacturer / co-packer performance. Develops and documents supply planning business processes.

Leads supply input for the S&OP process and provides planning support for development of capacity analysis to support the budget process and the planning process.


Desired Skills and Experience

B.A. or B.S. in Supply Chain Management or related degree

3 – 5 years of related experience in Supply Chain Planning/Production Planning in a CPG company, food manufacturing

Intermediate MS Excel skills required (Advanced Excel skills a plus)

Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative in a dynamic environment, as well as capable of producing high quality results on a sustainable basis

Demonstrates ability to effectively influence both internal and external customers/relationships

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to organize work and manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines

Excellent customer service / support skills, ability to work well under pressure, professional demeanor with strong written and oral communication skills
